A Mnemonic code is a short group of letters used to assist the reader in remembering a longer description. It may be somewhat longer than the key code itself as this is the form used for any computer code and may need to be somewhat more explicit for documentation purposes
All of the keycodes in the hri07e project are mnemonics. The are expressed in the form:
dd:<mnemonic for the data dictionary> kc:<mnemonic for the key code iteself>
These keycodes are also located in section 10 of each CDID so that every signficant data item in every document and delverbale should have an associated keycode that is clearly defined by the approraite SIG responsible for the discipline in question.
