My experience and thoughts about Success Habits. I will talk more about this in SESSION 4.
BUILDING MOMENTUM --
Success Habits are key to living the life you are choosing. The Wheel of Life allows one to look at the various
areas of our lives that we may choose need attention. The definition of a successful life is determined by each
person. As a Coach - the client-centered approach supports the Client's choices for success. [Not my idea of success
or your idea of success -- Client-centered approach supports the Client's choices for success. More on this later.
It has been acknowledged by people who are 'successful' that self esteem and self confidence are key
ingredients to making good choices. Honoring one's successes builds momentum and self-esteem.
Self-esteem builds capacity for success.
Each night before sleeping, write down your successes. You can keep a 'success journal'
by your bed. When you are feeling down or challenged and need 'energy'--notice your
successes and continue toward your chosen endeavor.
Sometimes successes are honoring your values, gifts, talents, .... some people refer to this as giving
thanks to God for ----- Sometimes simply getting out of bed in the morning is a success; doing the dishes;
taking a shower; speaking in front of hundreds; making a difference with one person in a day. Successes
vary depending on a person's origin, family, expectations, etc.
It is the rational and linear mind that measures and quantifies how large, small, big, worthy, unworthy a success is.
Our spirit sees us as beautiful, whole, worthy, and other adjectives. Therefore, honoring all successes builds capacity
for more success (or accomplishments that you want or emotional states of being or mental or physical.
Successes can be acknowledged during the day, week, month, quarter, and yearly. This is part of the 'tracking
and measurement of one's progress. We have been brought up on 'grades' and completing assignments. There is
a strong tendency toward accomplishment, achievement, measured completions, and so on.
This coaching skill: honoring success is essential to making changes in one's life. And, changes can happen with grace and ease. Or changes happen in struggle - it is a choice.
"What you focus on manifests -- if you focus on what didn't work, guess what?....you get more of what does not work.
If you focus your attention on your successes, build that muscle, guess what?.... you get more success and a strong capacity for being present.
Power of NOW... why is this book so popular?...ask your Wise Mind. :-) interesting...but not an assignment, unless you are just curious.
