Q: Sarah, you elaborated a little on some of the science and validation that was done with the White Light Meditation. As new Coaches starting up our practices I think we will want to have as much data about the tools we use as possible, since meditation [deep relaxation, working with the subconscious] may be new to some of our clients, and being able to explain some of the "back-story" may help to overcome some initial resistance.
A: My experience was initiated by vanity, fear, and sincere 'desire' to be beautiful. What would it be like at the age of 29 to be in a body that had only one breast. Who would love me? It was a direct and a pure opening to my subconscious and into the super conscious. As a working premise the subconscious mind contains the historical consciousness [learned patterns, beliefs, legacy, past life] and the super conscious mind [present and future orientation] and it was from my own inner guidance that I received the White Light Meditation that I shared with you. Technically, I am the author, however, it was channeled through me by a powerful healing master whose name I did not know until several days after I began the process. In the moments of fear and anxiety, the not-knowing' was a blessing because my very trained intellect might have overpowered the super-conscious voice. Later, my studies revealed more to me for understanding. I invite you to delay in the 'understanding' until you have had your own experience. (After week 4.) When one learns to ride a bicycle, you don't have to know physics or about the science of gravity. You trust a person to show you, then you try it, and it may feel wobbly at first. Soon you are balanced, and riding with ease, steering where YOU want to go. The same is suggested here with learning these techniques. They are proven and have helped thousands heal and have incredible lives. Meditation masters talk about the monkey mind. Need I say more?
I returned from the hospital after my diagnosis. I went into my room. I stood in front of the full length mirror and slowly undressed, letting my clothes drop to the floor one by one. I look at my beautiful body. I tried to imagine what I might look like with only one breast. And a scars. The anger and grief welled up inside of me. I said aloud. How did I create this?
I heard a strong clear voice say: “You created this, you can un-create this.” I turned around away from the mirror expecting to see some one standing there watching me. There was no one. I faced the mirror again, and said “How? How can I un-create this lump?” I spoke aloud.
The same strong voice said, “Take saunas, eat lemons, and drink water.”
A thought (pause). “I have nothing to lose and everything to gain.” I dressed, walked out the door, to the store, bought a bag of lemons, 4 gallons of water, and went home to take a hot sauna. etc.
After 3 days of lemons, water, saunas, sleep, tears, I went to the typewriter and asked “Who are you?” to the voice – now quiet and soft. For 9 days I asked questions to my higher guidance and continued my silence, listening to classical music. In one of my sauna sessions, in my minds eye I saw what looked like an sun/moon eclipse. A black mass with light behind it. It exploded and became all light. In that instance, I knew the lump was gone. And yet, when I touched my breast, it was still there. The soft gentle voice told me that the body is denser energy and would take 24-48 hours to clear. My work now was “to know that it was gone – to be vigilant and know that it was gone.” In two more days, the lump had completely disappeared.
My visit to my surgeon the next week was a day to remember. I challenged her as to "Why, she was so willing to cut me open, and did not share that I could heal the lump with meditation. What kind of healer was she after all those years of education, to still choose to use surgery#$%^?"
Obviously, she looked at me with a blank expression and said, "Come back for a check up in 6 months. The lump is gone." .....Sarah Horton
Q: How have you applied this practice to your own life experiences? A. I deeply wanted a whole healthy body, one with both breasts. It was my need to have a whole body and fear of surgery that fueled my will, at first. I was in “dis-ease.” I was willing to do what it took. It took trusting my inner voice—a voice that in that situation offered my conscious mind a different perspective. It offered one where I had to be willing to try something new—something different than what was being offered by traditional medicine. I was educated, I was smart, and I chose to suspend judgment and try a new approach. I also had to visualize the postive “end result” of a strong, healthy, whole body. The result was that I experienced a feeling of love and greatness that came in to replace the vanity and fear.Almost 2 years later, at the Health Optimizing Institute as part of the University of California in LaJolla, in 1979, I heard about Dr. Carl Simonton. And it was through his work in cancer research I was able to gain Western Medical understanding of the miracle that I received in 1977.
I was Co-Founder and Executive Director of the Health Optimizing Institute that brought western medicine and alternative modalities together for discussion and seminars on the Psychology of the Mind, Dimensions of the Mind, Eastern Medicine, Mind-Body Research, Visionary and Genius Access to Creativity, etc.
Many names of note were invited to the Institute which went on for 8 summers of which I was involved for five.
