Q&A CEUs valuable to.....

......Are the CEUs from this training usable with other professional organizations?

Here is a short answer: 'YES' 

... CEUs can be used with other organizations and their certifying process.  How they are applied Is up to that organizations' certifying process.  You must contact that organization to be sure the 'credits' will be accepted.

Here is a long answer to 'yes'...

The "International" organization for coaches is the International Coach's Federation.  YES, other graduates from this course have used the ceu's toward a part of their certification process within the International Coaches Federation.    

CEUs are granted and transferable to most certification programs. It is your responsibility to check with the program to determine if ceu's are valid for their certifying requirements.  The National Guild of Hypnotist and many of the nursing, medical, massage, and other accredited organizaitons accept and taken these credits toward their 'certification' and 'licensing,' and credential programs. The ICF is an umbrella organization that has been working toward standards for Coaching.  I have been doing this for over 20 years.  I am considered a 'mentor' for the Coaches Training Instute, Successtracs - Peak Potentials Training, and Jack Canfield's Success Strategies program.   I have, in the past been a mentor and member of the ICF.  

The National Guild of Hypnotists is an international organization which we are affiliated with as well.

Currently, there is no "licensing" board overseeing "Coaching" as a licensed profession or a state board to oversee any type of state certification processs.    One can be a hypnotherapist and the Life Transformation Company offers a program for "Certification" as a Hypnotherapist.  This is accepted by the State of California and many other state certifying boards.

My thoughts - Coaching is a life long learning process; and I'm always improving by learning and 'joint venturing' or 'contracting to other professionals and larger groups' as an independent contractor.  Raising the bar for your own success is what walking the talk is all about.  Being authentic and in integrity is the foundation to being a great coach.  Great coaches can make the money they 'envision.' (hint, hint).

I am a Master Business Coach, Quantum Leap Coach, Train the Trainer Certified Coach, Train the Trainer Certified Trainer (500* plus people in a room).  Dual Trac Success Coach. (*Peak Potentials Training for Financial Coaches). I contracted with Peak Potentials for 10 years...great source of clients and income.  I volunteered as a coach for Life Directions for 10 years and from each volunteer situation like that I would pick up 20-30 new clients and contacts. Prior to Peak Potentials, I founded educational programs and seminars to further the training of others, and so on.

My clients are my greatest teachers -- when they find me and I feel 'I don't know how to coach them' -- it is my lesson to let go, not give advice, and teach the skills I know that lead to the Client's authentic self.  I don't have to know what they know...they do.  There are no accidents.  Trust your spirit and trust your authentic self.

Coaching is a life-long learning process....and aligning yourself with other groups and organizations that YOU LOVE and are ALIGNED with is key to your own personal success and support system.  Fabulous people are met and experienced along the way.  What fun is that??!!. 

Current example:  I recently took up painting on large canvas - I needed a studio and connection to the art community.  I rented a small space in a warehouse. Through people I met there, I have had two exclusive gallery showings (unheard of for a new painter); Travelled to Bordeaux,FR and taught a seminar "Ignite your Creativity and Passion," to other painters and artists. I love having a new community to play in.  Guess what?  They found out I am a 'Coach"... and immediately have several artists -- as clients.  Do what you love, clients will follow.  

Another example:  I love to do 'silence'  for days-- and more days.  It is the way I regenerate and re-create what is important.  Recently, the Episcopal Church in town heard of my Silent Retreats and asked me to develop a short program of Silent Vigil for Advent and then followed to Silent Vigil for Epiphany [using ancient Christian prayer practices like - focusing on a word or phrase from the Bible, Walking Meditation, and I used the White Light Process for people who had physical and emotional Issues.  We invited all the other Churches in the area and got over 40 people to show up.  That is amazing.  Church services on a regular basis only got 25-30.  Is there a need for Silence?  Yes.  I will be doing this again - in Lent.  

Moving forward:  I plan to offer Silent Intuitive Painting Retreats - this summer in gorgeous Lake Tahoe - make me happy!
