Review
I needed Utah one way or another! I also signed up for St. George in October since I heard great things about both races
This was my 37rd state, so I'm was almost 3/4 of the way done!
I flew out of Morgantown and intended to connect through Chicago to get to Salt Lake City
Of course my flight was cancelled that Thurday night (ugh). So the next morning I flew to Dulles out of Morgantown, then flew to Salt Lake City. I landed in SLC around 1:30 PM Friday
The expo was at the Union Station, so we had plenty of space!
Since it was the 25th anniversary of the race, there was a huge section of previous years merchandise
We had to get to the bus pickup spot between 4:45-5:15, so I was actually able to take a nap on the bus!
We around Pineview Reservoir then dropped into Ogden Canyon
We ran along the Ogden River!
The views were very breathtaking views of the slopes and steep rocksÂ
We ran through the Ogden River Parkway for approximately 2 miles
We ran through Dinosaur Park and the Utah State University Botanical Gardens
Then we ended downtown on Historic 25th street
We weren't given food or beer tickets, however we had plenty of snacks at the end (ex. popcorn, bananas, protein bars)
I won an age group award! I'm happy that I could express myself as non-binary!
This was a good race since the course is downhill! I felt like the weather was perfect and the scenery was gorgeous!
I could see myself running the half marathon for this again, but not the marathon
I can see people use this course to BQ and/or PR
