An Overdue Update
Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
Philippians 4:6-7

To my dear partners in ministry,
It’s been a while, hasn’t it? I’ve been meaning to write this newsletter for some time, but life and ministry have kept me on my toes in ways I didn't anticipate. So, first and foremost, I want to thank you for your patience and ongoing support, even when you haven’t heard much from me!
This past season has been filled with so many moving parts—both in ministry and in life—that it’s been hard to find a moment to sit down, gather my thoughts, and update you all. Between launching new initiatives, juggling responsibilities across multiple campuses, and responding to the needs of our ever-growing international student community, time has truly flown by.
On top of the busyness of ministry, there have been some significant changes at home as well. Just a few months ago, Gloria and I welcomed a beautiful new addition to our family—our daughter, Riel. Becoming a parent has been one of the most incredible and life-changing experiences, and we are so grateful for this new chapter. But, as any new parent can attest, it has also come with its fair share of sleepless nights, new responsibilities, and learning moments!
Additionally, we’ve been navigating some unexpected personal challenges. Some of our loved ones have been going through serious health issues recently, and it’s been a heavy season for us as we try to support them from a distance. While I won't go into details, it has required a lot of emotional energy and has taken me away from some things, including regular newsletter writing.
Through all of this, I’ve been reminded of the importance of community—of being surrounded by people who pray with you, support you, and help carry the load when life gets tough. I’ve missed being able to share these experiences with you all, and I’m committed to being more consistent in keeping you updated on the work God is doing here.
So, here’s to a fresh start! I’ll be sharing updates more regularly from now on—stories, challenges, victories, and the everyday moments that make this ministry so special. Stay tuned, because there’s a lot to share, and I can’t wait to fill you in on all that’s been happening.
Thank you for your grace, understanding, and continued prayers. I’m so grateful for each of you.
With gratitude and excitement,
Sam
PS, to make up for it, here are some more baby photos!
