Christmas is a time to remember Jesus Christ, God's Son, who came to us as one of us to teach, love, and save us. In remembering Jesus, we should also remember His life and teaching.
In Mark 12 Jesus is asked what the greatest commandment is. This is how He responds:
"The foremost is,

with all your heart
and with all your soul

and with all your strength.'
The second is this,
'You shall love your neighbor as yourself.'

I was reminded of this passage when we received a Christmas card from our Portland friends, the Harter's. The card had these lyrics from the song "O Holy Night" and I hope it blesses you as well:
We pray that you will dwell on God and His goodness, that you will be blessed by Him to be a blessing to others.
Have a great 2019!
