You guys, God is so good. Last year, Lauren, Christina, and I prayed for God to move and provide us with some solid leadership and volunteers. Since then, Christina has moved on to another position. We are glad for this next step for her and are excited to see how God uses her. We were then blessed with Rebecca (far left) who just stepped in as a staff intern. Let me tell you, she is KILLING it! She is doing such a great job right out the gate and we are glad to have her on the team.
We have some really solid student leaders this year as well, but I’ll tell you about them in another newsletter. Today I want to talk about
The photo above was taken at Kate Sessions Park where we had a welcome dinner for our volunteers. We shared a meal of hot dogs and hamburgers that I barbecued on our Coleman Roadtrip Grill. We showed up well before sunset and stayed until it got too dark. This was a rich time with our volunteers. It was so amazing to hear their ideas for ministry, their vision for reaching international students here in San Diego, and seeing their heart to serve.
I can honestly say that every single person in this photo is a high-level, passionate partner in this work. They have all had experience working in ministry, especially with international people. We are praising God for these people and are so excited to watch God in action through them this semester.

Here are some more photos from that day:
Praise God for sending us such great volunteers.
Pray for God to use them, and us, mightily for His good work.
Sam Davis has focused on international student ministry since 2010 and is on staff with Cru and Bridges International in San Diego, CA. His passion for leading others into a close relationship with Jesus is shown in his general love for people and focus on discipleship.
Sam and his wife, Gloria, love to travel, meet people, eat great food, and hike.
