Bridges had our annual Christmas party last weekend and it was packed! Some friends of Steve, The Lee family, graciously opened their home for us to host 30-40 international students for a fun party with desserts, games, and plenty of eggnog. Seriously, I brought, like, 7 quarts of eggnog!
As an avid lover of eggnog I was shocked to see how many people jumped on the "eggnog is gross" bandwagon, but even MORE shocked at those who claimed that "eggnog tastes like alfredo sauce" (*cough*Morgan*cough*). Sounds crazy if you ask me, but I'm gonna stick with loving eggnog. All of this eggnog talk is making me thirsty. Hang on.
Ok, I'm back .... with egg nog. Here are some more photos!
That last photo isn't a great angle, but that is Randall Tonini, the pastor of Grace City Church sharing the message of Jesus and a call to faith. Grace City is one of our partner churches and Randall has been a proponent of ours from the beginning. We work with him and GC any chance we get.
Overall, this was a fun party with a powerful message that, I'm sure, left some students pondering.
These fun party events are great ways to introduce international students to a community of believers so we can have better, future opportunities to hear their stories and share with them the good news of Jesus Christ. Please pray for these events.
