This event will be active between October 1st, 2025 to December 31st, 2025!
It had been a whole month since Arsenic had closed the doors of the ballroom. Since then, the noises behind those door had yet to cease... that is until earlier that day. Curiosity peaked amongst the manor once more. Was whatever construction going on in there done? What had they done? All questions that would soon be answered as the door opened to reveal... red curtains? not just that, the sounds a soft jazz music emitted from behind the curtains, creating and old timey feel to the phenomena. Before long, a familiar figure comes out from behind the shades. Weston? It was hard to recognize the rat, all dolled up and hair slicked back. The pinstripe suit he wore was a stark contrast to how... crispy he normally looked.
"I see curiosity has won out. You're just in time. Come, take a peek and enjoy yourselves, ehehehe....."
Weston invites you inside by pulling aside the curtains..
The Ballroom had been transformed. Reds, golds, and earthy tones now filled the room. The decorative angular patterns paired with the simplicity of it all filled you with thoughts of a time long gone by. A bar had also been set up, filled with vintage liquor and barrels of ale stacked beside it. It was as if you stepped back in time.
Scanning the room, there was a place to sit and mingle, and of course dance! As your eyes continued to scan the room, there seemed to be a platform that acts as a stage of sorts.
At the main platform leads the host and co-hosts themselves, drumming out a beautiful tune of jazz.
"Welcome guys and gals to the Great Gatsby Gala~ Hosted by yours truly, and my beautiful co-hosts, Raise and Fold." Came the smooth familiar voice of Arsenic. The two Tandemaus beside him giggled.
"We've been planning this for a while!" Fold said
"All for your lovely entertainment!" Raise finished.
"We've got drinks, we got entertainment and if you're feeling brave, maybe you can come up and give us a little tune yourself." He said, holding the mic in his hands. "So go get dressed to the nines and let's enjoy the ritzy life~"

If you want to dance with an NPC, you must invite them first before dancing. See how to do so below.
To ask an NPC to dance you must send a message in #cut-a-rug with the form below. A mod will respond to your message telling you how the NPC reacted and if they accept your offer.
A character can only ask an individual NPC to dance once. If they reject you, that tenant cannot ask again.
If you want, you can include a short dialogue of how your character would ask the NPC to dance. Keep it brief.
NPCs accepting requests will generally depend on a character's relationship to the NPC, but some can be swayed for the occasion.

What’s an endeavor without some charm, look around and embrace the people that have come to the party!
Everyone should enjoy a good time, so the mod team is putting together a big piece this gala to encapsulate the whole occasion. Please note that everyone is allowed to enter this prompt, and your characters might appear next to others they don't normally interact with! We will try to adjust as necessary, but do keep that in mind.
Art Requirements: Halfbody; Lineart and Base Color, on a transparent background. Please do not shade.
You can contribute as many of your characters as you would like! You may draw them drinking the provided drinks, dancing with themselves on the dance floor, any unique or fun pose! We will adapt the background the best we can to get them well-fitted.
Please account for: height, wing-span, tail-span; for other characters. We will try to keep characters heights in mind for resizing. The background may change/adapt as characters are added, and may be broken up into multiple images depending on the amount of characters that partake!
Size of Your Entry: (1500 x 1500, 300 DPI). Please double check your image for this size!
