A few weeks after Mister's new shop opened up and a month or so after the unown had their first rampage, a small letter was slipped under the door of every guest's room. It was a simple envelop of ivory color, a pressed wax seal with an unown insignia kept the letter closed. In elegant navy script on the back of the letter was the name of the person that the letter has been sent to. Upon opening the letter this is what was penned on the card inside.
Dear Tenants,
You are hereby invited to Woe Manor's annual Masquerade ball! Please prepare your best mask and matching formal attire then join us for a night of celebration and fun.
The event will hold dances, amazing food, and possibly a contest or two... We hope to see you there.
This year the event will be headed by Luxury, the Manor's esteemed bartender. She would like to remind everyone in the manor to have a wonderful time at the ball and to enjoy yourselves as much as possible. You never know when you might draw your last breath.
The ballroom will be unlocked on the night of the ball and instructions on how to find it are on the back of this invitation.

Who knew that the manor had such an elegant ballroom? The ceiling hosted multiple shining silver chandeliers and the curtains around the room held a magnificent blue-purple hue. The tables were lined with black lace tablecloths and the candles adorning the dining tables smelled of lavender and sage. The music was already started, a slow waltz to start things off traditionally.
However the most striking thing in the room was the staff... They were all costumed and ready to participate in the festivities!
Lux approaches you with Weston by her side. "Welcome to the ball~" The words escape her mouth with more enthusiasm then ever was thought possible from her. Weston grinned from behind his mask. "Oh we do hope you enjoy it... heheheheh..."

This event will be active from October 1st to October 31st!
All art submissions must include at least one lined(or lineless) halfbody, with either color or shading, to be counted for the prompt bonuses.
All literature submissions must include at least 1000 words to be counted for the prompt bonuses.

Draw your character on the meme in their masquerade ball outfit, it can be formal, informal, based off a pokemon or not, as long as it's what they are wearing to the ball it works!
This prompt must be completed before any others for this event. The unown won't let you into the ballroom without an outfit after all.
For our authors, you can complete this prompt by writing about a character picking out or designing an outfit.
This prompt can only be completed once per character.

Don't wanna jump right into dancing? The snack table has you covered! Lux, Seth, and Cass have been working on the food for this event for a while. There is even some alcohol from the bar in the back. Be responsible!
Draw your character talking to other characters at the snack table or just grabbing a glass of punch. The food is amazing tonight and you've only got a few hours to enjoy it!

It is a ball after all, going without dancing is kind of a waste! There are a lot of different songs playing, from a waltz to pumped up music. You can always request a specific song if you'd like. Own that dance floor!
Draw your character dancing with another character, dancing by themselves, or dancing with an npc. Make sure not to step on anyone's toes!
You must ask an npc to dance before dancing with them, see how to do so below!
This prompt must be completed with at least two fullbodies.
If this prompt is completed as a collab the bonus doubles! (This cannot be done with npc dances.)
This prompt can only be completed three times per character.
To ask an npc to dance you must comment on this journal with the form below. A mod will respond to your comment telling you how the npc reacted and if they accept your offer.
You can only ask to dance 3 times per character. Even if the npcs reject you 3 times you cannot ask again.
You can only ask an individual npc to dance once. If they reject you, you cannot ask again.
If you want you can include a short dialogue of how your character would ask the npc to dance, please keep this brief as no one really likes being monologued at.
