Christians , Guns, and the Scriptures

2: Tim 2:15

15 Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth.

Hoses 4:6

"My people perish from the lack of knowledge"

Are you a Christian who believes killing someone in self-defense is the same thing as murder? Do you believe if someone is trying to kill you or your family you should just let them do it, because we are lambs being brought to the slaughter?

What does the bible say about murder?

Murder and Kill have two different meaning

To kill can mean taking any life, can be human, animals or insects. Taking a Human life deliberately or by accident or taking Human life legally or illegally, morally or immorally.

Murder on the other hand has only one meaning! The illegal or immoral taking of a human life.

God tell us to provide for our families, but if any provide not for his own and especially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith and is worse than an infidel is.

Therefore, do you honestly believe providing is it protecting your families from enemies?

Matthew 26:52 says:

"Then Jesus said unto him, put up again thy sword into its place, for all those that take the sword shall perish by the sword"

Why do Christian stop right there? They do not read all!

See, he says all who take up the sword die by the sword, which means anyone who uses a gun will die by the gun?

Why do Christian stop right there and what about the rest of what Jesus said?

He continues to tell them that if he wanted to be saved from the soldiers he would just call to his Father in Heaven and he would send Angels to save him.

He continues: "If you stop the soldiers how I will accomplish my task of being your savior?"

Matt 26:53-54

53. "Or do you think that I cannot now pray to my Father, and He will provide me with more than a twelve legions of Angels? 54. How then could the scriptures be fulfilled, that it must happen thus"

He did not say do not ever use the sword

Again

He said if any of you use your sword and stop what is about to happen to me you will all die; they will kill you with their swords.

Go back and read it yourself

Why else after this, what Jesus tell his apostles?

Luke 22:36

"Then said unto them, but now he that hath a purse let him take it and likewise his script and he that hath no sword let him sell his garment and buy one".

If you do not have a sword go and buy one". It is starting to make sense now.

It was obviously important enough to Jesus that they have a sword for him to tell them to sell their clothes and to buy one

Jesus was about to go back to the Father and he knew they would need their swords for protection

I do not know how people have twisted the meanings of these scriptures so horribly! I do not have any hate in my heart for terrorists, I pray for each one of them to believe in Jesus and be saved.

[Terrorists are not meek! they lives by the sword! They live to cause death and destruction!]

[Christians live life in meekness, which does not mean they cannot defend themselves!]

Jesus do not want any one of them to perish, but I do not want Christians to think they are just supposed to let people slaughter them, that is not what the Bible tells us to do.

Roman 8:36 says:

"As it is written, for thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter".

Now, why are the people think that, that means we are supposed to be sheep for the slaughter? That is not what it says.

It says, "For thy sake we are killed" It does not say we lay our lives down.

"We are accounted as sheep for the slaughter"

What does a counted mean? [Consider or Regard in a specified way]

It means that is how we are seen; that is how people see us, as sheep for the slaughter, not we are the sheep for the slaughter.

Matt 10:22

"And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: But he that endured to the end shall be saved".

Endured = to continue to exist in the same state or condition to experience pain or suffering a long time to deal with or accept something unpleasant; it does not say to die.

Why do some Christians think we are not allowed to protect ourselves?

Let us go over some of the scriptures; Christian is claiming we should not defend our families, and ourselves making a sacrifice to God.

Romans 12:12

"I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service".

This does not mean we offer ourselves as a sacrifice to be slaughtered, it means we consecrate our bodies to God, we give ourselves to Him fully, mind, body and soul; this is the sacrifice we make by taking up our cross and following him.

Matthew 5:39

"Resist no evil!

If they smite you on one cheek, turn and give them the other,

"But I say unto you that ye resist not evil, but whosoever shall smite thee on the right cheek turn to him the other".

In addition, a strike on the cheek is very different from beating us down cutting our heads off, raping a murder

Yes according to this scripture, they are allowed to strikes one on each cheek

Matthew 5:5

"Blessed are the meek: for they shall inherit the earth"

Meek is having or showing a quiet gentle and humble nature; it has nothing to do with life and death situations

I know this because of Roman 12:18

"If it be possible, live peaceably with all men”

Sometimes it is not possible to live peaceably with all men, no matter how much love you show them no matter how quiet and gentle you are they still want to kill you.

Matthew 24:9

"But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved"

What is endure?

To survive, self-defense is the defense of one person or interests, especially with Physical force that is permitted in certain cases as an answer to a charge of violent crime.

Example: "He claimed self-defense in the attempted murder charge"

There is a difference between Murder and Self-defense

If you think God wants you to be slaughtered, that is like being in that cult that walks around whipping themselves bloody to go through what Jesus went through.

It is called false teaching; Christian's better figure this out quick because time is running out.

The same bloodline of terrorists that came against Israel in Ezekiel, is about to come against us

God told his people what to do:

Ezekiel 7

"Be thou prepared, and prepare for thyself, thou and all thy company that are assembled unto thee, and be thou a guard unto them"

Christians we better protect ourselves; we are to be prepared and bold as a Lion not cower down and let them slaughter us.
