Selena Maity

This drawing represents my interview with an employee from the Mazzoni Center, a community

health center that provides LGBT+ focused care. He talked about growing up in a Catholic

household as a gay boy. He attended church every weekend and was told that LGBT+

individuals are “sexually deviant” and are all “sinners that should burn in hell”. He was scared

and felt out of place where he grew up. He also talked about how the LGBT+ population has

been affected since Trump took office and by the recent Supreme Court decision on Roe v.

Wade. He is afraid of what will come next.
