Introduction
Welcome to SCP-173 Testing Regulations within this page, you are provided with all of the necessary information needed to do a test or gain knowledge on SCP-173. This includes the testing restrictions, testing protocols, and anomaly characteristics.
That said, everything within this page should be followed in any test, or event involving SCP-173. Failure to follow the rules and guidelines within the SCP-173 Testing Regulations will be met with the proper line of punishment.
SCP-173 is a sentient humanoid concrete statue that is extremely hostile and deadly with no origin. Its body is composed of rebar and concrete, with spray paint around its humanoid-shaped facial region. It is covered in gunshots and blood. SCP-173 has exactly 3 arms/hands. Its right hand is a large metal claw, its third hand is a small cannon that 173 uses to shoot rebar rods at people.
SCP-173 exhibits extremely hostile behaviors. These are best seen through its interactions with human beings. Often using them as a source of entertainment. SCP-173 has been seen toying with its subjects and even picking them off 1 by 1 to create a sort of game. Some additional behaviors exhibited by SCP-173 have shown its frequent attack on doors and keycard slots within containment. It will often rapidly teleport around the containment to get attention for more subjects. If you cannot see SCP-173 in its containment, make sure to look above.
SCP-173 has shown a liking towards the ceilings and enjoys latching on to them to catch his victims off guard. Along with this, SCP-173 shows a sort of intelligence when choosing its victims. Often deciding to attack weaker ones in favor of stronger ones. Be aware that it shows a more strategic mindset in its attacks and is a lot more patient.
LIMB CRUSH
True to its name, once SCP-173 is within range of personnel that are within the regulation to be killed, he can crush their limbs instantly and kill them. When done, a blaring red light flickers on and immediately turns off after the victim has been crushed.
CLAW CRUSH
Using its new addon, SCP-173 can swipe at nearby personnel with extreme lethality, crushing their head entirely. This can be done via teleporting behind said personnel or being within a certain range of SCP-173.
SWIPE / GRAB
SCP-173 can swipe at a CD after dashing, or simply in general, which will sever their head and automatically kill them.
SCP-173 can grab, as well, but will delay the process of killing his next victims. SCP-173 can grab mostly anything at any time.
PROJECTILE THROW
SCP-173 can throw a rebar pole with a trail of electricity behind it, which is likely propelled by stored static electricity generated from friction between its concrete body and the ground. This electricity can be used for either projectile throws or rapid movement. The rebar pole can restrain individuals hit by it to a wall, causing death if it hits the head.
DASH
SCP-173 possesses a "Dash" ability where it rapidly charges forward towards its target, typically resulting in the instant death of the victim by crushing their limbs. This ability requires a significant amount of time to build up, during which SCP-173 remains stationary. The dash is executed by releasing built-up static electricity in a sudden burst, propelling SCP-173 towards its target. The increased friction during this attack generates additional electricity, potentially explaining SCP-173's ability to use this attack in succession or quickly follow it with another action such as throwing a rebar. The release of extra electricity during the dash may indicate structural or storage issues within SCP-173, possibly due to its reconstruction by the Chaos Insurgency.
SCP-173 is restricted to Researcher+.
Any SCP-173 test requires Adept Researcher+ authorization.
Any SCP-173 test requires a mandatory Mobile Task Force escort.
Spectators must uphold a clearance of SC-2+
If you somehow end yourself controlling the Gates which you only should do if the Mobile Task Force authorizes you.
Caution should be taken when opening the airlock doors, to prevent SCP-173 from getting through the airlock.
One door must always be kept closed at all times.
During testing, no personnel other than Mobile Task Force and Class-Ds should enter the containment, even in its weakened state, personnel should also refrain from being on the catwalks once testing has begun.
Once testing begins, you are to stay in the viewing room unless strictly necessary.
DISCLAIMER
You should NEVER attempt to Recontain SCP-173 UNLESS you are CLEARLY asked by the Recontainment Team themselves to help.
To recontain SCP-173 you must damage it for a long time until its concrete shell is destroyed. Once SCP-173’s entire concrete shell is destroyed it will become immobilized, covering its face with both of its hands. MTF will use a cage kit to build a cage around SCP-173. Once SCP-173 is completely trapped within the built cage, SCP-173 can be transported back into its CC. It takes exactly 10 minutes for SCP-173 to regenerate part of its concrete shelling and to become dangerous once again.
SCP-173 is contained within the Moderate Containment Zone in an octagon Containment Chamber.
Its chamber is capable of using the AETV system.
Said system should be carefully used as if it is accidentally open without an AETV box, SCP-173 will be soft breached.
SCP-173 is contained behind an airlock made out of two Breach Shelter gate-like doors.
The control room for SCP-173 Chamber controls are right in front of SCP-173’s gates, The Viewing room is completely separated from the control rooms
