Introduction
This Testing Regulation page will go over all regulations and information members of the Scientific Department should know when testing on SCP-682. SCP-682 is one of the most aggressive and dangerous SCPs contained by the Foundation. It does not stay in its containment chamber because it can't leave, it stays because it wants to stay. With that in mind, this page will ensure all events on SCP-682 cause minimal impact on on-site operations and the safety of all those involved.
This Testing Regulation page is not a suggestion, but are Testing Regulations enforced by the Scientific Department High Command. All regulations and procedures must be followed.
SCP-682 is contained in a large rainforest-esque area. There is a large waterfall, which covers a large cavern that SCP-682 can sometimes be seen resting within while asleep. The waterfall leads into another pool of water, which connects to the land via a small partially destroyed pier. There is a large mound that SCP-682 can stand on to communicate with others. There are two glass viewing areas, in which SCP-682 cannot har individuals behind. The containment chamber is lined with a catwalk, which protrudes outwards in the middle for individuals to communicate with SCP-682. The containment chamber also features a weather control system, in which the weather, time of day, and level of fog can be altered to SCP-682s liking.
Within SCP-682’s Containment Zone, there are a few restrictions in place that will be strictly enforced by the Mobile Task Force;
Only Mobile Task Force operatives may enter the Control Room,
The Weather System can be changed per request of the Host, by the Mobile Task Force.
They can reject and request to change the weather if SCP-682 is already getting very aggressive.
Only the Host, Mobile Task Force operatives, and authorized personnel may go on the catwalks,
Mobile Task Force operatives can revoke catwalk permissions at any time.
Testing Restrictions are in place to ensure the safety of the event, and all personnel involved. All restrictions must be followed,
Only Researcher+ can conduct research on SCP-682.
All research on SCP-682 must be approved by a Senior Researcher+.
All events on SCP-682 must be scheduled ahead of time, at least 12 hours prior to the event.
An Actor Organizer+ is required to act as SCP-682.
A minimum of 5 Class-D’s are required, with a maximum of 15.
How many Class-Ds are needed is up to the Host of the event.
A Security Command member [Corpoal+] is required.
Security Command is not required for observations.
At least 2 or more Crimson-9 operatives are required.
These escorts hold overall authority over you and your test as supervisors.
There is no spectator cap, regardless of Scientific Rank, however, all spectators must have Security Clearance-2.
Members of the Scientific Department do not require a Security Clearance-2.
All testing on SCP-682 must have a 12-hour cooldown, due to the impact that SCP-682 can have on the operations of the site.
However, by approval of a Chief Researcher the cooldown can be lowered to 8 hours.
If two SCP-682 events were scheduled on the same day, the next event can happen within 6 hours of the first one.
To schedule an event with SCP-682 it must be scheduled beforehand, to schedule you will make an SCP-682 request in the Joint Department Discord Server in the #hcz_schedule channel. When making a request for SCP-682 make sure you do the following;
Check the last few requests and make sure the time wanted does not violate the cooldown,
When linking the time of your event, it is suggested you use Discord’s time stamp, you can get one here,
Make sure to ping @AA Command, @Crimson-9
Make sure to create a thread for your request.
When the time of your event is closely approaching, you should double-check to make sure everyone, including your actor, can still attend.
In the event a Researcher+ wishes to do an observation on SCP-682, they can bypass the scheduling, and request for an SCP-682 actor in the #682_requests channel. If an Actor Organizer+ is online and does the request, as well as a Crimson-9 escort, you can conduct the observation.
All regulations regarding observations are still in effect. You are to only observe SCP-682 for no more than 20 minutes, however, if SCP-682 becomes increasingly aggressive and demands for you to leave, you are to leave.
Cooldowns in between observations are 10 hours. However, if a test/interview was done on SCP-682 the cooldown will be 6 hours from when the test/interview was concluded.
Any feeding event involving SCP-682 will be required to have the minimum amount of Class-Ds of 5, and the maximum amount of Class-Ds of 15. 682's feeding procedure will stay the same as the combative authority will transfer the Class-Ds to the Feeding lift, and the host of the feeding event with its spectator will be moved to the Viewing Area.
You are to follow the same process to schedule feedings.
If an event involving SCP-682 unintentionally provokes, angers, or causes SCP-682 to likely breach its containment, all personnel will be required to follow all orders that will be given by Combative Authority, especially the Mobile Task Force, and all personnel will also be required to evacuate to the nearest safe area as per procedures in-case any emergencies related to SCP-682 happened. You are not safe in the Viewing Area, SCP-682 can and will come for you.
