The 2024–2025 school year marked the introduction of eTwinning at Paralimni Lyceum as part of our broader Erasmus+ strategy.
Recognising the value of digital collaboration and intercultural learning, our school launched eTwinning to give both teachers and students the opportunity to connect with peers across Europe, develop their digital skills, and participate in innovative, project-based learning.
This new initiative includes structured staff training, student engagement activities, and integration into classroom practices and extracurricular programmes.
In early November 2024, a brief presentation was delivered during a general staff meeting at Paralimni Lyceum to introduce the concept of eTwinning and inform colleagues about an upcoming training session. The presentation outlined the platform’s goals, how teachers can get involved, and examples of potential projects.
You can view the presentation below.
On 15 November 2024, a three-hour eTwinning workshop was organised for the teachers of Paralimni Lyceum.
The session aimed to familiarise staff with the eTwinning platform, showcase its collaborative tools, and encourage participation in international partnerships.
The training was delivered by the Foundation for the Management of European Lifelong Learning Programmes, in collaboration with Mr. Georgios Constantinou, the eTwinning Ambassador for the Famagusta district.
A total of 15 teachers attended the seminar.
During the “Unmasking Bias” Erasmus+ mobility in November 2024, an eTwinning training session was held for students.
This included not only our own students but also visiting students from Germany, offering a unique opportunity for cross-cultural collaboration and hands-on engagement with the eTwinning platform.
The session was delivered by Mr. Georgios Constantinou, who guided participants through the basics of the platform and demonstrated how they could contribute to international project work.
Ongoing Student Workshops
To support active participation, we organise after-school eTwinning workshops for students at the beginning of each project.
These sessions introduce participants to the platform’s tools, help them understand their roles in the project, and build confidence in working with their European peers online.
This regular support structure ensures that students are well-prepared and engaged throughout the year.
