A neurocognitive disorder (NCD) is a syndrome that results from conditions within the brain that have an effect on cognition. The experienced symptoms drastically impact occupational performance and participation in general everyday activities. These conditions are progressive and normally lead to complete dependence. These symptoms can be felt because of medications effects, depression, and dehydration, but these are reversible. The nonreversible conditions are Alzheimer's disease, Parkinson Disease, Vascular Dementia, etc. (Morin, 2023).
