Individually, we are to design a Tropical Sanctuary at Taman Botani Negara Shah Alam which includes an Contemplating area, 2 working area, a discussion area, a resting area, and a washroom for ourself and one of our family member.
In the earlier stage of this project, we started with a large group task to collect the site data regarding: Site Layout, Climatic Studies, Natural Physical features, Existing Man-made Features, Circulation Pattern, Human Activities and Sensory Studies,
Group leaders final Presentation.pdfNext, we are distributed into a smaller group consist of 4 people to select 2 potential micro site based on the macro study then carry out Site analysis using Design Vignettes matrix for both micro site in 4 A3 size papers.
WORKSHOP 1A.pdfAfter that, we started the individual part of the project which is to choose one of the potential site from the previous 2 and then produce 2 site use alternatives diagrams in 2 A3 papers.
WORKSHOP 1B.pdfFinally, We are develop the design further based on the site use alternatives and produce 3 A1 boards in landscape format that consist of the Design Concept statement, User studies, Case studies, Site plans, Floor Plans, Sections and Elevations, key drawings and some sectional details regarding the structure.
