I learned this skill by thinking critically and creatively during design
I learned this skill when working together as a group in project 2
From the 14 weeks of AD I module, I learned a lot from my tutors and course mate. I would especially like to thank My tutor for Project 1 and 3, Ar. Teoh Way Keat and Tutor for the Project 2 the bamboo project, Ms. Raihana Zainuddin for guiding me throughout the projects and help me further develop my sense of design. I really enjoyed the projects in the way how we get to develop our design stage by stage from design principles in project 1 to ergonomics and anthropometries in project 2 and lastly combining all together in the final project. I did enjoyed the journey designing structures throughout the assignments although the work load is indeed quite tiring sometimes but overall the outcome didn't go too bad so I am pretty glad I manage through.
One thing I learn the most throughout the AD 1 projects especially Project 2 and 3 is that you don't just design something because it looks good but you had to relate them to the function and users. Although that sounded like a restriction it actually help me in deciding the design more clearly, as I get to eliminate designs accordingly and left just the best.
Another thing that I learn from AD1 the most will be the design principle. Although I learn the design language before in FNBE but I didnt really played a good use of them in my design. I keep thinking chaotic stuff will express the principle on its own and designing things as I like so the way I design is more toward designing it then relate it to a principle. But after getting clearify by my tutor I realize that in fact a chaotic design without considered is more like randomness but when I blend in the principles accordingly at the beginning it will make the design makes more sense and have clear things to focus on. I belive this differences can be clearly seen from My Project 1 to My project.
