The project consist of huge team with roughly 19-20 members per group. We are required to produce a 2 meters x 2 meters x 2 meters or 8 meter cube real life structure using bamboos at the Kebun Komuniti USJ2 for the elderlies to use. The function of the structure that our group were tasked were to view the sunset.
Komorebi is the Japanese word for sunlight, which is filtered through the leaves of the trees in particular, It means the visible light rays.
Our structure places greater emphasis on parabolic weavings, which unifies everything it brings a sense of unity between the walls, floor and roof this is made to integrate its irregular form with nature.
On 22nd September, we had a site visit to the Kebun Komuniti to study the site condition in order for us to familiarise the site as we need to assemble our final model here.
Build mock ups in the scale of 1:20 to visualize the design better.
After agreed on the design, we move forward to build the 1:1 structure using bamboo at the amphitheater before assembling the structure at the site on the final submission day.
