I learned this skill throughout our project 1 and 2's group work.
I practice this skill through designing buildings and structure according to requirements
From this 14 weeks Architecture Design II module, I learned a lot from my groupmates and tutor. I would especially like to thank My tutors: Mr Shawn and Ar. Ian for guiding me throughout my project 1 & 2 and Ms. Fadzwin for guilding me during the final project. Special Thanks to Ar. Ian for his really advise during my project 2 for inspiring us to think of things more uniquely and encourage us to keep our momentum throughout the limited time during project 2. I would also like to thank Ms. Fadzwin's guidance throughout the final project's journey in helping me out to seek for the sense of poeticness hidden within my design. I really appreciate this 14 weeks with this module as it doesnt just train me to design more thoughtful compared to my previous semester but it also builds up my understanding and changes my perspective in seeing the things around me.Â
One of the thing that I learn through the project is the introduction to context or environment. I was amazed during project 3 with the way how detail can a site study be as we visited the site collected the data and analyse out all the data to be carry forward. However to be honest I wasnt able to fully utilize all the strengths identify from our site analysis which I wish to done it better in future semester. I was also please by this experience to visit the site and appreciate the nature within the botanical park and see different wildlife such as monkeys and such.
Another thing that I learn from the module is the use of design principle. Although we learned these from foundation all untill this semester but I do think that this semester is the first time we using this principles more lively and adapting to the design rather than applying them blindly. We learn to see how these principles influencing the design and bring effects towards the user.
