Mary Ann Byram 1835-1910

(Mormon Records) show two possibilities for Mary Ann

    • Mary Ann Byram, father William (no mother recorded) born 14 Nov 1833, christened 10 Mar 1834 at the Independent Church, Ashton in Makerfield, Lancs in 1834 (no mother recorded, so she may have died in childbirth). The Independent subsequently became Congregational.

    • However, a Job Byram with wife Susan christened a Mary Ann Byram at St Peter, Leeds, W Yorks 18 Sep 1836.

Mary Ann Byram was the second wife of William Patterson 1816. They married at Halifax in June 1863 (BMD).

Mary Ann had 5 recorded children

Albert Ernest 1868

Mary Rosalie 1874

Florence 1880

In 1901 she was living as a widow in the household of her son Albert Ernest Patterson at 21 George St Shipley, a house that still exists.

This BMD record suggests that she died in Bradford in 1910 at the age of 71. My cousin Brian Brown (the son of Doris Patterson & Richard Brown), in a letter (18 March 2006) told me that she lived with the family of her son Albert Ernest Patterson at Rushden near Bedford, before Albert Ernest moved to Luton.
