Male Byram ?

The only clues to this generation are two christenings (Mormon Records) -

    • The unknown Byram may have been either a William Byram, who christened his daughter Mary Jane Byram at the Independent Church Ashton in Makerfield, Lancs in 1834 (no mother recorded, so she may have died in childbirth). The Independent subsequently became Congregational.
    • He may have been a Job Byram who, with wife Susan, christened a Mary Jan Byram at St Peter, Leeds, W Yorks 18 Sep 1836.

According to the Surname Atlas of 1881, the highest frequency (>1%) of Byram is in Lunesdale in north Lancashire. There are secondary concentrations in Yorkshire and Chesire.
