Due to some crew still working (as opposed to the Big R ) we have recently been rowing late on a Friday afternoon and getting back just on dark. Its been interesting having a regular crew and seeing a bit of team work developing as we row more together. New crew David and Mike seem to really have got the rowing bug and are developing a good overall rowing style. We are so pleased with the way the boat runs we have opted to take on the Port Nelson to Mapua trip (14k ) this coming weekend as a bit of a new challenge. We've talked up the longer "touring type rowing" of late so this will be a good indicator of whether we up for it ! Bring it on I say. So two new firsts for us in these twilight trips firstly its the first time rowing under the stars and secondly we had a first canine crew aboard for a row. (Mikes' Dog ! )
