Another great day loomed for us as we arrived at Kaiteriteri . Calm waters and warm moderate temps which we were almost expecting now for this time of year Obviously a great time of year for rowing. Another new crew trying it out today, Peter T, who pretty quickly got on board with the whole experience. We were surprised how quickly we got round to Split Apple rock. Great for some "distinctively local", photo opportunities and had a quiet cuppa tea and some kai to fuel up for the return trip to Kaiteriteri beach . Enjoying it so much we detoured a bit to include Marehau as well. Looks like the Abel Tasman extended row/ raid has a few new converts! Only 4 crew today Sue, Peter T , Russell and Denis. No cox which wasn't ideal. ..... would not do again if we can help it.. Brilliant stretch of coast, especially with no people or powerboats around. Must remember that in the future.
