Achievements and Activities to Date
What we've done
NBHBA was formed in 2022 to benefit all Equestrians, Cyclists and Pedestrians by providing a focal point for the Local population to identify any Bridleway Issues and to advise on ways in which these might be resolved. The following are things which we have undertaken since then.

May 2023 Agreement signed with UU to allow members to use the concessionary routes around Greenbooth and Ashworth Reservoir.

Feb 2023 Letter to planning re proposed Crimble Mill Development
Jan 2023 Liaised with BHS to put in plans for changes at Codshaw Quarry resulting in the new improved access paid for by the BHS for which we are very grateful
Nov 2022 Meeting with BHS and RBBA to determine once and for all what changes in access is required by the Equestrian Community up on the Moors by Owd Betts.
Oct 2022 Pat & Barbara attending the planning meeting and spoke regarding the PRoW concerns re the development proposed at old Crimble Restaurant.
Sept 2022 Letter sent to RMBC Planning regarding the proposed development 21/00092/FUL, - Development of residential dwellings on old Crimble Restaurant site.
Sept 2022 Letter sent to RMBC Planning regarding the proposed development 22/00597/FUL - The Manor, Edenfield Road.
Sept 2022 Letter to Bamford Councillors & Anne Shorrock regarding upcoming planning proposal for development on land adjacent tp Jowkin Lane.
Sept 2022 Letter sent to RMBC Planning regarding the proposed development 22/00588/FUL - Crimble Mill.
Aug 2022 Letter sent to RMBC thanking them for work in Ashworth Valley
Aug 2022 Blocked Path Cleared of fallen branch. A branch blocking the path from Roods Lane to Paperhouse bridge was removed by a member of NBHBA
June 2022 Letter sent to RMBC Planning regarding the proposed development 21/00092/FUL = Crimble Restaurant.
June 2022 Letter sent to Countryfile and Points of View regarding the coverage of the new Highway Code Rules and the lack of coverage of Equestrians.
