World Literature (English II) Teaching Resources

Welcome to English II! In this class we will embark on multiple journeys as we learn about various writings from around the world. We will explore World Literature by reading classics such as Homer’s Illiad, Sophocle’s Oedipus Rex, Wiesel’s Night, and many others. We will also research the customs and histories of various cultures in order to understand the context in which the material was written. Throughout this course we will continually analyze literature through writing. Expect to read a great deal, write a great deal, and learn a great deal!
