First Lego League 2018 - 2019 Challenge
COMPETITION DETAILS FOR PARENTS
Teams:
Our A.G.B.U. Manoogian-Demirdjian School official two teams are Robo Titans (Team number 2361) and Robo Titans 2.0 (Team number 18043).
FLL Competition:
We are scheduled to participate in the FLL (First Lego League) Qualifying Tournament on Sunday, November 18, 2018. The competition will take place at La Reina High Shcool in Thousand Oaks, CA.
Participation:
My goal is for every student in the class to participate in the competition in some capacity. While some will drive the robots, others will work on the research and on the presentations which are all equally important roles. If for some reason your child cannot make it on that day, please let me know way ahead of time, to avoid having any of the kids being disappointed at the last minute. Selection for roles will be based on best performance in the class for that category.
Commuting:
It is up to you to drive your child to the competition and back on time. It is highly recommended that you plan to spend the day with us at the competition to cheer your child and help him succeed.
Meals:
While there will be food to purchase at the competition, it is highly recommended that the parents bring some healthy snacks, water and treats for the kids. In the past, sometimes parents communicated and brought lunch. (Just a thought!)
Mission Control Resources:
Connect with your Local Partner. They know your local FIRST® Community and are here to help you. Watch your inbox for FIRST LEGO League Team Blasts and communications from your Local Partner throughout the season.

(Right by JPL & Caltech)
Robo Titans and Robo Titans 2.0 (Our AGBU robotics teams) participated in the FLL Qualifying tournament on Saturday November 19. (FLL: First Lego League)
On the Robotics Game my teams earned 11th place and 6th place among the participating 25 schools.
That is not all.
We had an outstanding research project and presentation along with exemplary core values. But our most important achievement is the coveted Robot Design Award which is given to the top three teams in robot design at the competition. We earned 1st place! The students were beyond happy. I will be sharing some videos soon.
We also qualified to participate at the Championship Tournament on Saturday December 11.
Thanks to all the parents who supported the teams by helping with the training, or by being at the tournament or by bringing food and snacks.
Congratulations to the teams members on a job well done. Cheers!
