Step 1: Plan Your Slide on Paper
Before opening Google Slides, write down what you want to include on your slide.
Think of this as your roadmap or plan.
Decide what you want your classmates to learn about you.
Step 2: Find Your Assigned Slide
We will all work together in one shared Google Slides presentation.
Each student will be assigned ONE slide.
Only edit your own slide. Do not change or delete anyone else's work.
Step 3: Make Your Slide Personal
You may design your slide any way you want.
Choose your own:
Background
Colors
Fonts
Pictures
Shapes
Layout
Animations
Make the slide represent YOU and your personality.
Step 4: Add Information About Yourself
You decide what you would like to share. Some ideas include:
Your name
Hobbies and interests
Favorite foods
Favorite sports or teams
Favorite games, movies, books, or music
Pets
Places you have visited or would like to visit
Something you are good at
Something interesting or unique about you
Something you would like to learn this year
Step 5: Add a Photo
Your slide must include at least one photo of yourself.
Step 6: Review Your Slide
Make sure everything can be easily read.
Check your spelling.
Make sure your slide is school appropriate.
Make sure you are ready to explain everything you placed on your slide.
You will have 90 seconds to present your slide to the class.
Do not simply read your slide—tell us about yourself!
Be prepared to explain why you chose the pictures, information, and design on your slide.
Goal: By the end of this activity, we should know a little more about every person in our class—and we will have created our first collaborative Google Slides presentation together!
