Logo Competition 2019

Revisiting Photoshop and multimedia editing.

1. We are going to use the described logo below. You are to demonstrate your best Photoshop and/or digital design skills.
2. Your choice of media is open, but Photoshop is recommended but not stressed.
3. Your final project submission must be in PNG or JPG or PDF.
4. The resolution must be 300 dpi. The size must be 8.5'' by 11".
5. You may work on paper and pencil and then scan/digitize and finalize your work on Photoshop.
6. Once completed, a shared folder for your class will be assigned for you to upload your work and turn it in.
7. You must have a copy of your OWN WORK posted on your digital portfolio as LOGO DESIGN page with a description of what the project is and how you approached it. (GRADED).
8. Your grade will be based on the following:
   • The content of the portfolio page and the concept and plan of how you approached the project. 30%
   • The effort put into it and the quality of the artwork as to design, concept, details, cleanliness, and seriousness of the design. 30%
   • Meeting the requirements below of the LOGO project (40%).

The deadline for the entire work is Friday, February 22, 2019, at 4:00 PM.

AGBU MDS Alumni Association New Logo Design Challenge

The Task:

Design a logo for the newly reinstated alumni association to be unveiled at the March 9 School Gala. The logo will be featured on our social media pages, emails, letters, assorted merchandise, and more.

The Wish List:

We are looking for a logo that is MODERN, fresh and reflects the following motifs:

• Support
• Community
• Networking
• Connection/Connecting
• History
• School Pride

It must say somewhere:

• AGBU MDS Alumni Association

Colors to be used are:

• Maroon/Burgundy
• Black
• White
• Grey

We encourage the incorporation of:

• The school’s logo
• The Titan logo
• (or) A combination of the two

For Example: During our Alumni meeting, one idea that came up was two bodies, or two hands holding up the school logo.

The prize:

• Official recognition on the school’s website and social media pages
• Official recognition on the alumni social media pages
• Official recognition at the school’s gala
• Mystery Prize

More than anything else, we want to hand over the creative reigns to you and see what ideas you have! We’ve provided some guidelines, the rest is up to you! Good Luck!
