森の中の庭

庭だけでない。

広大な森の奥へ奥へと車を走らせると、
そこには色鮮やかな庭があり、
植物を育てるナーサリーがあり、
森の幼稚園があり、
馬の牧場がある。

ただ庭という限られた空間として綺麗なのではなく、
地域の森まで含めて作り上げられている空間。

庭は森の木々の下まで繋がり、
森は人に加えて馬や羊の力を借りて手入れされる。
そんな森には時折子どもたちが訪れて、
動植物と触れ合いながら自然を学ぶ。

自然と暮らす、ってこんな感じなんだなと思う。

人里離れ、森の奥で、
植物と動物に囲まれて。
さすがにちょっと人恋しくなったけど。

やっぱり、人と植物、だけじゃなくって
動物がいることが空間を優しくしていると思う。
人にとって森や草地は、
管理しなきゃ「いけない」ところかもしれないけど、
動物にとっては豊富な食糧を確保できる場所。
それを知っているからこそ、
イノシシやシカとも
みんなの森だから、って共存していける。

こんな場所が世界中に増えたら、
もっとみんな自然に対して優しくなるのかな。

Garden in the Woodland

It’s not just a garden.
Driving deep into the massive woodland, you find a lush garden, a plant nursery, a forest kindergarten and a horse farm.
Its attractiveness does not only come from an enclosed garden, but from the whole space including the regional woodland.

Gardens blends into the woodland,
the woodland is maintained borrowing the power of horses and sheep,
and that’s where kids sometimes visits to learn nature from all the living creatures.

This would be it- a life with nature.
Away from human beings, in the woods, surrounded by plants and animals
… though I did missed humans a bit.

The existence of animals should be softening the world of humans and plants.
Fast-growing woodlands or grasslands may be a management-requiring place for human beings,
but they are food utopia for animals.
Knowing that, people become more open-minded about coexistence with wild animals, thinking “it’s not OUR woodland”.

I wonder if people be more kind to nature if such a place increases.
