Pine Nut Chocolate

Although Ritual Chocolate's Pine Nut Chocolate bar is made from the seeds of Pinyon Pine trees, native to Utah, it reminds us of the love of our own pines in around Mineral.

Need a good stocking stuffer for a Mineral stocking? Perhaps a branch of pine, a small pine cone and a Ritual Pine Nut Chocolate bar. They've been known to run out of their Gingerbread Chocolate bar, so especially if you're ordering both, order early.

Read more about Anna and Robbie and Ritual Chocolate and their factory in the mountains of Utah, using old world techniques combined with newer machinery to craft the best & smoothest chocolate possible.

Click here to order and to learn more about the pine nuts used in this chocolate bar on Ritual's online store.

Recipe: Roasted Pine Nuts

Pine trees are everywhere in Mineral, California. Celebrating the pine nut during Thanksgiving is a nod to our love for Mineral. Add them to the top of many dishes, in salads and even on top of whipped cream on pumpkin pie. Here's how to roast them:

  • Place a single layer of pine nuts in a dry frying pan.

  • Stir constantly while cooking on low until golden brown.

  • Immediately transfer them to a plate.

Thanks to rachelcooks.com for the recipe. Check her site for other methods for roasting pine nuts, too.

The great thing is you can compete at any time and any place you want on December 12, 2020. This Virtual 5K is a great way to stay active during these times when live races are not widely available. As a bonus you will receive a personalized medal for participating and by supporting this event you are making a difference in the life of a child by allowing PAL to continue to offer free programs to the youth of our community. After the event we invite you to pick up your medal at one of our local PAL programs where you can see a class in action. If you are not local and are unable to pick up your medal, fear not! We will send it to you! For more information about the program PAL offers, visit our website.”
