Emergency

In Case of Emergency

If you have an emergency:

  • Call 911 if you need emergency assistance

  • The Tehama County Sheriff's Office usually dispatches the Mineral Volunteer Fire Department for local 911 calls, since Company 20 will arrive more quickly than responders from Paynes Creek, Manton, or Red Bluff (unless they already out on a call). The Sheriff's Office dispatcher will decide if other resources are needed, depending on the nature of the emergency.

Before an emergency:

If we are in an emergency situation in Mineral:

  • If possible, we will do our best to post information here.

  • If you have signed up for Emergency Notifications from the Sheriff, you will receive text messages and/or calls from them.

  • The Volunteer Fire Department and other emergency services providers and neighbors may come around to broadcast messages on a loudspeaker to residents about evacuations.

  • You can leave a message for each other here. Although it isn't fancy, it should work. Use a Gmail address to post for greatest ease. Click on the upper right corner or just below the document featured on the right of this page to open the Google Doc. Once on the doc, add a comment to add information or reply to information posted. Note, you can view messages without clicking through to the Doc.

  • If you need neighbor support, feel free to email us at mineralcalifornia@gmail.com and if possible, we will be checking messages and do what we can as neighbors to support you.
