The Personal Flag of HRH Prince Shawn
Adopted: 6 February 2022
Meaning of Flag Explained: This flag, personally designed by Prince Shawn in 2019, was created for use in 2021 during the Prince's visit to the USA for his first Royal Tour, but the tour was postponed due to a worldwide pandemic (COVID-19). Additionally the flag was created at the Prince's request to symbolise the Prince as an individual, not associated with his role as sovereign of any particular nation of Woodlandia.
The Royal Household may display Prince Shawn's Personal Flag on any building, ship, car, or aircraft in which he is staying or travelling. The personal flag of the Prince represents His Royal Highness in his role as Head of the Principality or as Monarch of Woodlandia realms in which he does not possess a unique flag.
The flag bears the crowned letter S in gold, surrounded by a garland of gold roses on a blue background, with a golden fringe. The crown is a symbol of the Prince's rank and dignity, whilst the eleven roses symbolise the paternal line of the Prince (House of Rose) and the age of the Prince when he founded the Ardania, a prelude of Woodlandia (The "crowned 'S'" emblem also appears in the Prince's personal flags for the Kingdom of Ardania).
On February 6th, 2022, the personal flag of Prince Shawn was changed to reflect a flag appearing less similar to that of Queen Elizabeth II's personal flag out of respect for Her Majesty upon the same day as her Platinum Jubilee (70th anniversary of her ascension). The new flag bears a thin gold trimmed border encircling the outside and two thick golden bars near the left and right ends.

In Use: 25 March 2019 - 23 September 2019
Meaning of Flag Explained: Weeks after Woodlandia's founding, many flag designs were carefully looked over and considered for the National Flag by HRH Prince Shawn. With government delays in choosing an official flag for the Principality, Woodlandia had not yet adopted an official flag.
On March 24, 2019, HRH Prince Shawn had received a letter sent by His Imperial Majesty John I, King of Baustralia. In the letter was a proposal for the use and adoption of a national flag in which he (John I) had personally designed as a gift to the Prince, for the creation of the Principality of Woodlandia.
The flag is a simple design, closely resembling the flag of Canada. A white background with a red Oak leaf in the center. The remainder of the flag displaying a thick red bar on each side.
While thankful to King John I for the gift, Prince Shawn did not accept the offer to officially adopt the flag for the Principality, but instead agreed to use the flag as the nations de facto flag, until an official flag was chosen. The Prince unofficially naming the flag "The Lonely Oak". On March 25, 2019, the flag was introduced and adopted by government, as the nations de facto symbol.
On September 23, 2019 an official flag for the Principality of Woodlandia was chosen and adopted, leaving "The Lonely Oak" a popular de facto symbol of Woodlandia.
