Meaning of Flag Explained: The State Flag of the Bavarian Democratic Republic depicts a pattern of white and blue lozenges in a stripe running horizontally through its center, with a blue stripe above and below this center stripe. In the center of the flag, there is a large blue lozenge with a golden wheat plant inside. Atop the blue lozenge and within the top blue stripe, there is a golden people's crown. The lozenge pattern recalls the original flag of Bavaria, with the wheat representing Bavarian agriculture and the crown the rule of the people.
