The The Flag of the Freetown of Christiania

Meaning of Flag Explained: (Alleged Explanation)
When the squatters arrived in Christiania, they decided that it would be a good idea to paint the name outside the entrance, to mark the Freetown's borders. The only paint they could find was red and yellow, so they painted the wall red, and wrote the name "Christiania" big and bold with the yellow paint. However, a rainstorm came shortly after, and washed away all the paint, except for the three yellow dots and the red background. This inspired the design of Freetown Christiania's flag: gules, three bezants in fess. Even if the storm obscured their name, and the government obscured their cause, the Freetown said: "You cannot beat us to death!"
