The National Flag and Civil Ensign of the United Republic of Obscurium

Meaning of Flag Explained: The flag of Obscurium consists of a black field (for the Night Sky and Space) with one blue stripe at the top and the bottom (for the day sky), a green stripe running through the middle (for the land) ,The (White) All Seeing Eye located over the green stripe in the left half of the flag and the big dipper located next to it.

On ships of the Red Trident this flag will be used as the Naval Jack.

The National Coat of Arms of the United Republic of Obscurium

Meaning of CoA Explained: The National Coat of Arms of the United Republic of Obscurium  depicts a rampant red dragon on a golden field, standing atop a green hill. The dragon is surrounded by a blue border. Above the dragon are the black stars of the big dipper and above that the all seeing eye of Obscurium. Beneath the dragon, and in front of the green hill is a scroll with the words "Liberty, Unity, Obscurity" written on it. This is the national motto of Obscurium, while the red dragon is the nations national animal, the big dipper a prominent symbol in the night sky and the all seeing eye a symbol of knowledge and wisdom. The blue border represents the sky and the green hill the Earth, while the blackness of the stars recalls the colour of space and the night sky.

Meaning of CoA Explained: Contains symbolism from the National CoA. Only the Government of Obscurium is allowed to use this symbol.

The Lesser Emblem of the United Republic of Obscurium

Adopted: 1 January 2020

Meaning of Emblem Explained: The Leser Emblem of Obscurium is just the All Seeing Eye, an easly regognisable symbol of Obscurium.

The Presidential Standard of the United Republic of Obscurium


Adopted: 1 January 2021


Meaning of Flag Explained: The Presidential Standard depicts the government emblem of the United Republic of Obscurium on a yellow circle, inside a blue lozenge with a white border. The four corners, left outside of the lozenge, are divided into two black and two green corners, with one of each at the top and bottom of the standard. Each corner also inlcudes a white, four pointed, star.

This standard shall only be used by the President of the United Republic of Obscurium. It is used to make the presence of the President of Obscurium known, wherever he may be.

Meaning of Flag Explained: This flag is used by the Red Trident on its ships. It contains 2 of Obscurium's main colours (Black and Blue), the Big Dipper and the Red Trident's lesser emblem (Crossed Tridents with All Seeing Eye).

The Greater Emblem of the Red Trident of Obscurity

Meaning of Emblem Explained: The Red Trident's Emblem Consists of a shield with a white field with lue Kraken holding the All seeing Eye with 2 crossed Red Tridents behind it. The Red Trident's Motto "Per Aspera, Ad Victoria" (On Rough Paths to Victory) is displayed below the shield.

The Flag of the Obscure Mobile Ground Force (MOBIE)

Meaning of Flag Explained: The flag of  the MOBIE depicts the lesser emblem of the MOBIE in a yellow diamond shape surrounded by 2 fields of blue and green and a big dipper in the canton.

The Greater Emblem of the Obscure Mobile Ground Force (MOBIE)

Meaning of Emblem Explained: The emblem of the MOBIE contains Obscurium's green forest dragon, holding a blue flag with Obscurium's lesser emblem (this dragon being the MOBIE's the lesser emblem). Below the shield, the motto of the MOBIE, "Numquam Neglegite Nos" (Never Ignore Us) can be seen. 

The Flag of the Obscure Space and Air Force (OSAF)

Meaning of Flag Explained: The flag of the Obscure Mobile Ground Force depicts the lesser emblem of the OSAF in the canton of a black field. Below the emblem, there is a white horizontal line, running horizontally through the flag, with a white big dipper in the lower corner of the fly.

The Greater Emblem of the Obscure Space and Air Force (OSAF)

Meaning of Emblem Explained: The greater emblem of the OSAF depicts a black shield, containing a white laurel wreath, with a golden rocket in its lower, left, section and a golden dragon in its upper, right, section. Below the wreath there is the Emblem of Obscurium. The bottom of the shield depicts the motto of the OSAF “Ut Draco Versus Coelum" (As a Dragon Towards the Sky). The rocket represents the space part of the OSAF while the dragon represents the air aspect. The wreath stands for peace, cooperation and progress.

The Territorial Flag of the Free Protectorate of Flagpolis

Meaning of Flag Explained: The Flag of Flagpolis consists of a green Nordic Cross with a white rim on a blue field, with a lozenge, containing a green dragon, imposed onto the junction of the cross. The Nordic Cross recalls the location of the territory in Northern Germany, while the dragon represents the dragon of Fafner, who appears in multiple northern European tales and also established a connection to Obscurium.

The Territorial Coat of Arms of the Free Protectorate of Flagpolis

Meaning of CoA Explained: The Coat of Arms of Flagpolis contains a green dragon, standing atop a set of blue waves, surrounded by a white dovetailed bordure on a red field. The dragon represents the dragon of Fafner, who appears in multiple Northern European tales and also establishes a connection to Obscurium, while the waves recall the Bay of Kiel, at the shore of which Flagpolis is located. The bordure and its colours are a reference to the coat of arms of the city of Kiel, which surrounds Flagpolis.

Meaning of Flag Explained: The Standard of the Lord Protectore of Flagpolis contains the green dragon Fafner on a white field, surrounded by the white dovetailed bordure on a red field from the coat of arms of Flagpolis.

The National Flag of the United People's Republic of Mars

Meaning of Flag Explained: This was the original flag of the UPRoM, Obscurium's Predecessor. The UPRoM or United People's Republic of Mars used to claim parts of Mars and therefore had three stars representing the red planet and his moons in its flag.

The First National Coat of Arms of the United People's Republic of Mars

Meaning of CoA Explained: The first Coat of Arms of the UPRoM, used until the 9th of September of 2018. The second one was in use until the 29th of April 2020. Both had the UPRoM's national colours Black, Blue and Red on it, the Planet of Mars after it was terraformed plus his moons and our national animal, the red dragon. It also had the old seal of the UPRoM in it which can be seen in the picture below. A Sickle for the farmers, a hammer for the workers, the all seeing eye for enlightenment and a rifle for the people who protect us.

Meaning of CoA Explained: Over the course of its existence the UPRoM had 2 Coats of Arms. Both had the UPRoM's national colours Black, Blue and Red on it, the Planet of Mars after it was terraformed plus his moons and its national animal, the red dragon. It also contained the old seal of the UPRoM: A Sickle for the farmers, a hammer for the workers, the all seeing eye for enlightenment and a rifle for the people who protect the population. The Red Dragon in the Second Arms replaced the Black Gear of the first.

Meaning of Flag Explained: The former flag of Obscurium had the same meaning as the current flag. The only difference was the All Seeing Eye and the Big Dipper being red instead of white.

Meaning of Flag Explained: The former presidential standard of Obscurium was slightly different from the current one, mainly because it contained 4 dandelion flowers instead of stars.

Meaning of Flag Explained: The Battle Flag of Obscurium also depicts the lesser Emblem of the MOBIE, in a yellow diamond shape surrounded by 2 fields of bue and green and a big dipper in the canton.

Meaning of Emblem Explained: The Emblem of the MOBIE contains Obscurium's red dragon with a sword and a shield with Obscurium's All Seeing Eye on this shield, all on a yellow field. This represents the MOBIE's role as protector of Obcurium. The motto of the MOBIE is "Never Underestimate".
