Meaning of Flag Explained: The Oriflamme (from Latin: Flamma Aurea – Golden Flame) – a red and golden flag featuring symbols (golden pea under an open crown of gold) relating to the fairy tale “The Princess on the Pea”. The Mariflamme was adopted on September 19th 2023, as Lorenzburg incorporated the Gothenburg city section, also named Lorensberg, within its realms. The flag is specifically for Lorenzburg’s domains in Gothenburg – Sweden’s second largest city, by the west coast.

In the first and fourth fields, gules a pea Or under an open crown Or. In the second and third fields, azure, a pearl Argent under an open crown Argent.
