The National Flag of the Kingdom of Ebenthal
Adopted: 3 May 2020
Meaning of Flag Explained: The flag of Ebenthal is an horizontal triband standard with a width-height aspect ratio of 3:5. All three stripes are equally sized. The colors were purposely chosen to be different from the colors of the previous flags, to represent the renewal of Ebenthal. Original, the new selected colors, red, green and white, had no specific meaning and were chosen inspired by the flag of the Duchy of Anhalt. Subsequently, they were given meaning, the red and white representing the Royal Family, the House of Bruyn, and the green representing the Brazilian origins of the micronation (whose vexillological and heraldic theme it adopted).
The National Coat of Arms of the Kingdom of Ebenthal
Adopted: 1 October 2022
Meaning of CoA Explained: The coat of arms colours and style were heavily inspired by and it is a reference to the House of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha, former owner to the Castle of Ebenthal after which the country was named. The shield mimics the shield one of the aforementioned royal house, changing the place of colours (instead of black and yellow bands and a green crancelin, the bands are green and yellow and the crancelin is black), but adding the cross of Saint James. The yellow and green from the stripes, together with the black from the crancelin, are the primary colours of the House of Saxe-Coburg and Gotha and are meant to represent Ebenthal's inspirational background and thus its history, while the Cross of Saint James, present in every Ebenthali national symbol, is meant to represent the continuity of the Ebenthali history and traditions and the people's mostly Portuguese background, as a reference to the Order of Saint James of the Sword.
The red mantle surmounted by a golden tent were inspired by the coat of arms of the Empire of Brazil as depicted in documents such as the Golden Laws, and the heraldic crown of Ebenthal was inspired by the crowns of the Brazilian and the Indian Empire.
