Makes 3 Dozen Cookies
Ingredients:
3/4 Cup Butter
1/2 Cup Sugar
1/2 Cup Dark Brown Sugar
1 Egg
1/2 Tsp Vanilla
1/4 Tsp Salt
1/4 Tsp Baking Powder
1 1/4 Cups Flour
Sugar Sprinkles (if desired)
Caramel Sauce
Directions:
Melt the butter over medium heat until it smells nutty and has a brown tinge to it. This will take about 10-15 minutes. Stir frequently and take care not to burn the browned butter. Once the butter has browned, pour it into a large bowl and let it cool for about 10 minutes.
Preheat the oven to 350F.
Mix the sugar and dark brown sugar into the browned butter. Beat for 2-5 minutes until it is fluffy. Mix in the egg and vanilla. Gently fold in the salt, baking powder, and flour.
Roll the dough out onto a floured surface and cut into shapes using cookie cutters. Place the cookies onto a parchment lined baking sheet and then sprinkle on sugar sprinkles if you are using. Bake the cookies for 7-9 minutes.
Once the cookies have baked, let them cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring them to a cooling rack to cool completely. Once they have completely cooled, drizzle on some caramel sauce (either store bought or homemade).
Store the cookies in an airtight container at room temperature.
Enjoy!
