POLICY AND PROCEDURES MANUAL UPDATE

The updated Policy and Procedures Manual has been posted to the portal in the Tax-Aide: General Information folder. For your convenience, a version highlighting all of the changes is also available, along with a separate document listing all updates.

NEW EXPENSE TYPE – PAID MEDIA LOCAL (P)

There is a new expense type to be reimbursed for volunteer recruitment and program promotion expenses. This new code will pull the expenses from the “M” and “W” budgets rather than from regional funds (RF-Z). Recruitment and promotion expenses can still be filed using regional funds. Both requests require submitting a pre-approval. Consult your regional or state coordinator for guidance. The tip sheet VP09.11a Submit Pre-Approval for Expense Type P gives detailed instructions, including proper funding codes.
