NTTC Training Resource Links: The list includes links for the following:
Training Videos and PowerPoints includes a list of all training videos and lists of training videos for returning volunteers, client facilitators, and new volunteers
AARP Volunteer Portal, Tax-Aide Policy and Procedures Manual, and M102 Password List, etc.
Catalog of Materials - A comprehensive list and description of all training resources (with links) for both new Counselors and updates/advanced topics for returnees. Included is a schedule of the anticipated availability date.
NTTC Training Handbook - This handbook is designed to assist you in your role as a Tax-Aide Instructor and give you the tools you need to be successful. The handbook’s Sections contain detailed lesson plans, tips, considerations for your specific circumstances, and a step-by-step guide to setting up your training program. Whether you’re a new Instructor or a “seasoned pro,” you’ll find this handbook to be a useful tool as you prepare and conduct Tax Counselor training.
Section 2 includes reminders of many NTTC training materials such as videos and quizzes. Instructor Notes for each Workbook Exercise are also included in Section 2. These will help you guide class discussions and answer questions about the Exercises. All the Lesson Plans integrate these various resources into a cohesive syllabus.
AARP Volunteer Portal LMS Training - Instructors must understand that AARP volunteers are required to take the following courses: Policies and Procedures, and Technology and Security. The Volunteer Portal Access Learning Content tip sheet is available here.

IRS Pub 5838, VITA-TCE Intake/Interview and Quality Review Handbook - This publication is designed to help tax counselors understand the process of conducting effective intake/interview and quality reviews. All coordinators and volunteers who answer tax law questions, instruct tax law classes, prepare or correct tax returns, and/or conduct quality reviews of completed tax returns will use this publication for instructions on these three processes. All volunteers must understand the processes required to prepare a tax return from start to finish.

Log into your Chromebook
Open the Chrome browser
Click on the Tax-Aide Links menu in the upper left part of your screen
Hover over “Tax Prep and Training”
Select “Training and Tax Law Library”
This opens Tax-Aide’s Training and Tax Law Library in the AARP Foundation shared drive labeled “Shared with me”
Alternatively, log into your AARP Foundation account on your own computer or Mac
Open the Chrome browser
Navigate to google.com
Click on the circle in the upper right (your avatar or a colored circle with your initial)
Select “+ Add Account”
Choose your AARP Foundation account if you’ve already added it to your browser.
Otherwise, type in your aarpfoundation.org email address and follow the prompts with your Chromebook password, etc.
Log into your AARP Foundation account
If it asks if you want to create or switch to your AARP Foundation profile, please do so
Click on the Tax-Aide Links menu in the upper left part of your screen
Hover over “Tax Prep and Training”
Select “Training and Tax Law Library”
This opens Tax-Aide’s Training and Tax Law Library in the AARP Foundation shared drive labeled “Shared with me”

Open NTTC Tiny URLs: https://ta-nttc.tiny.us/List-of-NTTC-TinyURLs and select the NTTC Tiny URLs tab.
Note: Tiny URLs will be replaced with direct links in the near future.
Hover your mouse pointer over the link to the specific reference you want.
A link pointer will open below it with a copy icon at the end.
Click the link copy icon to save the link to your clipboard.
Right-click on any space on your Bookmarks Bar to open a menu.
Select Add Page
Type the link reference Name and paste (CTRL + V) the saved URL
You can select where to save the link, or create a new folder for multiple links to save it to from here.
Click Save. Your new link/folder should now appear on the Bookmarks Bar.
