State Tax Assistance Program (STAP)

Because of the subtle complexities and unknown peculiarities of the tax laws of other states, preparing and e-filing a tax return for states other than Maine is OUT OF SCOPE (OOS).

The Tax-Aide State Tax Assistance Program (STAP) exists to assist you to complete returns for states for which you have no training. Here you can:

• check the list of states participating in STAP to see if assistance is available
