Isaiah 40:28
God Understands
28 Do you not know?
Have you not heard?
The LORD is the everlasting God,
the Creator of the ends of the earth.
He will not grow tired or weary,
and his understanding no one can fathom.
John 3:3-9
Jesus Explaining How We are Reborn to Nicodemus
3 Jesus replied, “Very truly I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again.”
4 “How can someone be born when they are old?” Nicodemus asked. “Surely they cannot enter a second time into their mother’s womb to be born!”
5 Jesus answered, “Very truly I tell you, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless they are born of water and the Spirit. 6 Flesh gives birth to flesh, but the Spirit gives birth to spirit. 7 You should not be surprised at my saying, ‘You must be born again.’ 8 The wind blows wherever it pleases. You hear its sound, but you cannot tell where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit.”
9 “How can this be?” Nicodemus asked.
God LOVES Us
16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.
Luke 1:37
For With God Nothing is Impossible
37 For with God nothing shall be impossible.
God is LOVE
8 Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.
The Prophet Isaiah teaches us that our LORD is our everlasting God...He created our earth and the heavens above...God never gets tired and He never gets weary...And His understanding and what He thinks is far beyond what man can fathom and think...God's wisdom is far beyond man's understanding...God completely understands all things...Because God understands all things nothing is impossible for Him...God has Complete Understanding...
In the Gospel of John, St. John, in chapter three, writes about Jesus teaching Nicodemus -and how we as men have trouble understanding the ways and means of God...Jesus explains to Nicodemus that we must be born again to see the Kingdom of God...Jesus (explaining how man does not understand all things) explains about being reborn to Nicodemus...Nicodemus has trouble understanding this topic of being reborn (and I do as well)....Nicodemus can hear the wind but he does not know the things of where the wind blows, or where it is going, and where the sound of the wind actually comes from...Man's understanding is like one drop of water in all of the ocean's when compared to God's understanding and wisdom...And that one drop of ocean water might even be a stretch, when we compare ourselves to God...God created the wind...Thus, God knows where the wind comes from and where it is going, and all the things about the wind...
Since Nicodemus had trouble understanding some of the earthly things (like the wind), how can he or we understand the eternal and Spiritual things of heaven?...St. John writes about the LOVE God has for us (and for Nicodemus)...And even though we don't comprehend and understand all things, Jesus tells Him that God LOVES us...God so LOVED the world He gave His only Son to us, that if we believe in Him, we shall not perish and we will have eternal life...So even though we as man are limited in many ways and in our understanding of things, God's LOVE has no limits...God understands that our love does have limits...But we know about love and we do comprehend the importance of love...So God understands everything...Maybe if man understood everything completely, we would love more, love better, and love everyone and maybe everything...If we totally understood LOVE, we would want a unity and harmony in the entire world if we understood all things...We would understand each and everyone's faults and troubles and problems and see who they really are -and why they do the things they do...It seems that since God understands everything completely, He can LOVE everything and everybody completely...God LOVES each of us...God Completely Understands all things, and Completely Understands us and each of our own ways and means...
Infinite Understanding is God and Complete Understanding equates to LOVE...When you create something or even invent something you understand it completely...God created the heavens and earth and everything on them...God created all things in the beginning...All things relate to Him in this sense...Since God created all things, each thing He created has a part of Him in it...I think this is why St. Augustine wrote, are heart is restless, until we rest in Thee...So He understands, where the wind blows and and where it comes from and where it is going...He created the wind, as well as all the weather...Our weather is something to behold...All things He created, including love...God gave us LOVE, because God is LOVE...Since God knows each one of us and all our faults and our personalities, He knows why we do what we do...We cannot hide from our Creator...He knows why we are going to do something today and tomorrow, because He created us and knows all things...
The Great Saints understood Him, and they knew why God is something to behold and worship and praise...
