PvP Championship
About
This is a tournament run every 2 weeks, usually during the weekend at EU evening time. A precise time is announced within a few days of the championship in the #pvp-championship channel in our Discord server.
It consists of randomly matched 1v1s between participants.
Each 1v1 is a best of 3.
The winner will duel the reigning PvP Champion at the end of the championship. The winner of this will be the new PvP Champion.
The PvP Champion is given some perks including an unbreakable Mithril Sword.
All participants also receive 2,500 LSX.

Championship Procedure
To enter, type your Minecraft username into the #pvp-championship channel in our Discord server before the scheduled time of the championship.
Log on before the scheduled time and go to the arena using the event button in the lobby.
If you can't find the event button, please ask online staff.
During the event, staff will teleport you inside the arena when it's your turn. Read the signs in front of you and wait for the countdown.
Championships usually take 15-60 minutes, depending on how many participants there are.
Spectators are welcome.
For specific PvP rules regarding the 1v1s, see the pinned message in #pvp-championship.
Blade of the Champion Rules
The sword is entirely the champion's responsibility and they must be able to return it if they lose the title. This means they need to know where it is.
This also means they must not destroy it or lose it, whether by accident or on purpose.
They must not edit the sword's modifiers, name or lore at any time. However they can engrave their name into the sword using the LOTR Mod engraving mechanic.
They can lend the sword to other players but if another player breaks any of these rules, the champion will still get punished as it's their responsibility. The player in question may also be punished depending on the circumstances.
There has never been an issue with these rules so we have not decided on any specific punishment - it's best it stays that way.
