Every year since 2017 we have run an Advent-themed rewards event on LOTR Survival.
2017's rewards consisted of valuable LOTR Mod items such as Flames of Udûn and Mithril.
However 2018 saw a big change. We ditched using normal items and made custom stuff. These rewards can be split into 4 categories:
Final Reward: this is the reward for collecting most of the daily rewards during Advent, and is collected on December 25th. These are quite rare because they're harder to obtain and only 1 can be claimed per player, unlike regular rewards. They are PvP-focused, with an ability that affects PvP in a balanced way.
Universal Gift: this is a cosmetic gift given to everyone who claimed it on December 25th.
Kits: there are a variety of kits which consist of a full set of armour and an item to be held in your hand - you need all 5 kit items for a particular kit to use the kit's ability.
Standalone Items: these can be cosmetic or have some ability which doesn't require any other items to use.
This website lists all the Christmas reward items and describes their abilities.
All final rewards contain your name and the year of acquisition in their lore. Their LOTR modifiers can also be edited using normal means.
Foehewer (2025)
16 of these were given out.An unbreakable Ringil with a cosmetic glow.
The sword has an icy aura, emitting subtle snow particles while held.
Skewer Ability:
- To trigger the ability, you must land a critical hit on an enemy.
- When triggered, the sword will pierce through and strike all enemies directly behind your target in a 6-block line.
- Enemies closest to your initial target take full damage, while those at the edge (6 blocks) take 50% damage.
- Damage against other players and hired units is reduced by 50%.
- Upon activation, you will lunge forward briefly with a short period of damage immunity, then pull back.
- There are ice particle effects and a whoosh sound when the ability activates.
- Hit enemies will receive slight knockback in the direction of the attack.
