Hwachas

Hwachas are for sale in the lobby shop for LOTR Mod coins.

Placed hwachas can also be mined, which will drop the hwacha spawn item.

Right-click a 5x3 area using a hwacha item.

The area must be clear of obstructions, and also must have at least a 3-high area which is free of obstructions.

There must be solid ground underneath in some spots as well (e.g. under the wheels).

The hwacha will face in the direction you are facing.

Load the hwacha by right-clicking its chest with anything from 1 to 64 hwacha arrows (crafting recipe).

You can load it up to a maximum capacity of 64 hwacha arrows.

When it's loaded you can fire it by right-clicking the lever.

The angle of elevation is the angle at which the hwacha arrows are fired upwards.

The default angle is 15, but this can be changed using the angle of elevation sign on the hwacha.

Right-click it to increase the angle, and left-click it to decrease.

The angle can be anything from 0 (horizontal) to 90 (vertical).

The fuse is how long a fired hwacha arrow will accelerate for.

The default is 1, but this can be changed by right-or-left-clicking the fuse sign on the hwacha.

The maximum is 6 and the minimum is 1.

Hwacha arrows will deal high damage, as well as fire damage.

They do very little damage if they hit while their fuse is still intact (i.e. close range).

They do very high damage if they hit 100 blocks or more away.

A new hwacha will have 64 durability - the durability will drop by 1 every time you fire.

When the durability hits 0 the hwacha will self-destruct.

Hwachas outside banner protection can be destroyed by explosion damage, as well as catapult rocks.

Hwachas inside banner protection can suffer the same fate during sieges.
