Deputy sheriff Will Robbins and N. W. Crookston and probation officer Andrew King, went to Wellsville Tuesday last week to assist Marshall Leatham of Wellsville to make a raid on the City Drug Store there.
They inlisted the services of a resident of Wellsville, who obtained a bottle of liquor from the manager of the place, and the search and seizure warrant was issued here and served by the officers. They obtained about 100 pint bottles of whiskey and some alcohol and wine, in addition to a lot of empty Barrels and Bottles. The stuff was brought to Logan and will be held here to await disposition by The District Court.
Last Thursday the manager of the City Drug Company of Wellsville appeared before the justice of the peace there and entered a plea of guilty to the charge of illegally selling liquor. A fine of $175 was promptly paid.
