Scorpion

With fossil evidence dating back millions of years, scorpions continue to thrive.

The first of their ancestors lived in the seas and eventually made their way to land.

Even today, the scorpion’s book lungs enable it to stay underwater for up to forty-eight hours.

Scorpions are arthropods with among the longest of lifespans.

In the wild, they can live up to ten years and go a full year without food.

A scorpion is most known for its painful sting, and it is in its tail where venom is produced.

At the tip of the telson is a needle-like structure where this poison is released.

The scorpion controls the potency of the sting.

It decides whether it needs to defend itself or kill its predator.

The message here lies in your having the ability to channel your energy as appropriate to the situation.

It is up to you as to when to restrain yourself or when to take action.  (S. Finelli)
