20 I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me
Galatians 2: 20
There is an alertness we must have as we wait for the birth of Christ. Something this important is worth being ready for. But what does that look like when we know the full story today? It definitely doesn’t look like perfection. The ones who looked like they had it all together were called whitewashed tombs by Jesus Himself.
We are to surrender. It is not we who live, but Christ who lives in us. On this journey, we are going to face difficult times. Can we stay alert even through those moments, and when we see the darkness in this world, still be on the lookout for just a glimpse of Him? May we be ready for the day to come so that we have nothing to hide— only having our gifts to present to the newborn King.

Jesus, we praise you for being the truth. Showing us Your way. Teaching us how to surrender. This teaching You have given us really is for everyone's good. We pray for eyes to see you today. Help us be on the look out for the way you move all around us. Be with those who don't want to look for you. Help us to be loving to eachother today.
In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
